The Death Dhamma Podcast

Mar 21, 2022

From suit and tie guy to 37-year-old rookie police officer, Terry Tucker has led a full and interesting life. There are the changes he instigated and one big change that was not part of his plan. At least not the plan he had in mind.

One day a callous on the bottom of Terry’s foot burst open. Terry went to see his good friend the podiatrist and had a cyst removed. His friend told Terry not to worry. But to be safe, he sent the cyst to pathology. Two weeks later his good friend was telling Terry that he had a rare form of melanoma. And just like that, Terry’s life changed.

Terry lives with an incurable form of cancer. Read that sentence again, this time, like this – Terry LIVES with cancer. It is important to emphasize LIVES because that is what he is doing. Encouraging all of us to find meaning and purpose in our lives.

Terry believes that if you at least look for your purpose with an open heart when the end comes it's not nearly as scary you think. But for those who go through life with no direction, coming to peace around death is much more difficult.

Terry is a role model and champion for finding and living your purpose. His book,

Sustainable Excellence: Ten Principles To Leading Your Uncommon And Extraordinary Life

will show you how to become the best version of yourself, and how you can leave behind a legacy that makes you proud.
